OCEAN PHOTOVOLTAICS

Electricity from the Oceans in Sunlight, a new example of the Photovoltaic Effect.

We operate a lab in Ft. Pierce, Florida. We have filed for over 37 patents in the area of photovoltaics. One is a Hydrogen Absorption Rod. You can view this www.hydrogenabsorptionrod.com

In looking for a way to create a sea water photovoltaic solar cell for our hydrogen absorption rod we discovered that when the sun hits the surface area of the oceans it creates electron generation from the action of the photons on the ocean surface chemistry.

Take away the sun light and the electron activity goes down dramatically. What this demonstrates is that the ocean surface chemistry when in sunlight acts as a photovoltaic generator.

There is nothing that we found in scientific papers that reports on this photovoltaic effect on the chemistry of the ocean surface.

We find this quite interesting and worthy of further investigation. We are working on a way to draw off this electrical current. So far we have created a material that produces between .7 to .8 volts and very high amperage.

The interesting aspect is that this could solve electrical needs in cities on the ocean and could be used to power desalination plants. As some of us know fresh water is going to be one of the biggest needs of humans moving forward.

This is being posted here in the hope to draw intelligent comments.
